TRC: Schedule, Makeup Swim Test, Proper Suits & Private Lessons

Good Afternoon Tuckahoe Families;

First a special shout out to all our wonderful Dads; hope you are all having a fantastic day.

Below you will find information on this week's practice rotation, makeup swim tests, the need for proper suits & equipment, and private lessons.

Practice Rotation

No changes here, just sharing as a reminder:

6/22: Yellow 8-under/Black Team

6/23: Gold 8-under/ Gold Team

6/24: Black 8-under/Black Team

6/25: Yellow 8-under/Gold Team

6/26: Gold 8-under/Black Team

6/27: 7am - Black 8-under, 8am - Gold 13-Under and 9am - Black 13-U

Makeup Swim Tests

If you missed your swim test and still need to take it or are retaking the swim test, please make sure you have reached out to the Team Reps to schedule a good time to do that. When you arrive to take the swim test, please let the person at the gate know so we can take care of that.

Proper Suits/Equipment

The coaches would just like to remind and emphasize that swimmers should wear a proper training suit when coming to practice. No trunks/wet shirts/ wet suits.

Also, a number of our younger swimmers are struggling with the goggles they have. Personally and professionally I like the Speedo Vanquishers - they are about $15 online or in-store. SportFair is having a Father's Day sale with 30% off all regularly priced suits!

Swimmers with long hair should also wear a cap to practice. We have caps and will be talking to athletes we think should do this. Please help make sure that the cap stays in their swim bag and gets to practice!

Private Lessons

Keep in mind that Coaches are available for private lessons - this is a great opportunity for our swimmers to get some personalized attention on areas they would like to improve in.

Our junior coaches can do lessons for 12-under athletes and our Head/assistant coaches can work with all age groups. Below are our coaches and their email addresses - simply reach out to them to find a time to schedule lessons and discuss their rate. Please note that the coaches will not be allowed to enter the water with kids during the lesson.

Pool management has approved lessons occurring in either pool but the member requesting the lesson(s) needs to schedule the lane reservation with the front desk.
