Tuckahoe Tigers Swim Team

• Swimmers must be members of Tuckahoe Recreation Club in good standing.
• Swimmers must be between the ages of four and eighteen as of June 1, 2026.
• Swimmers must have a signed NVSL waiver found on the on-line registration BEFORE attending any practice and/or assessment.
• Swimmers new to the team ages 10 and under as well as Little Tigers interested in 'graduating' to the Swim Team will be required to participate in a swimming assessment by the coaches. Exception: If your child was in Winter Swim (Level II or Level III) they do not need to complete an evaluation.
• Swimming assessments will take place prior to the start of the season to confirm that registered swimmers are able to swim 50 meters (across the pool and back) of freestyle and/or backstroke unassisted.  Swim assessment times can be scheduled with the team reps.
• Swimmers who want to join the team but are unable to swim 50 meters (across the pool and back) of freestyle and/or backstroke should consider enrolling in our Little Tigers Program via the 2026 Registration link above.

Registration is open!

Each swim team family is required to complete 15 hours of volunteer service (5 hours for Little Tigers) each season or pay the non-volunteer fee of $500. See our Volunteer page for more information.  

Swim Team Fees

A 3.4% + $0.30 processing one time fee will be charged by Swimtopia.com for each swimmer. This processing fee is non-refundable should you need to cancel your registration.

Registration closes when max capacity is met.

There is a required $ 20-per-swimmer contribution to the coaches. This is given to the junior and volunteer coaches at the end of the season for all their hard work throughout the Summer.

Discounts for additional swimmers are automatically included by swimtopia.com at check-out when all registrants are paid in the same transaction. Please contact the swim team reps if you have an issue with the application of discounts.

Gear

• Included in the team registration fee, all swimmers receive a team t-shirt, and a latex cap for practices.
• Personalized silicone swim caps will cost $30 for 2 caps. Personalized caps will be available only to swimmers registered by May 1st. After that, a blank Tuckahoe LATEX cap can be purchased from Team Reps for $8 each. 
• Swimmers may purchase a new Tuckahoe team swimsuit each year. Suits are available through Sport Fair for this upcoming summer and will be available for purchase in any of the following methods:

1. At the Tuckahoe Swim Team Open House on May 2nd, 2026.  Sport Fair employees will be on site for a fitting and team logo application.
2. In-person at the Sport Fair store in Arlington, Virginia. Store address can be found here: Sport Fair
3. Through our online Team Store (available closer to the open house)

• Swimmers will need quality goggles and zoomer style training fins, an in-line snorkel and a mess gear bag. All needed gear can be purchased at Sport Fair.
