TRC: Update on Practices, Breakfast, Saturday Intrasquad meet, Volunteers & Beyond

This week we have our first team activity and intrasquad meet. There is a ton of information to digest so please read carefully. Thank you for your patience and support. Remember to sign up for the Saturday intrasquad meet by Wednesday night under Swimtopia. Deck entries will not be allowed.
Practices:
Only 8-unders should abide by the rotation schedule and look for extra spots to sign up. All other age groups (9-10, 11-12, 13-U) should come to practice every day if they are able to. We want to get everyone as much work and coaching as possible over the next few weeks, especially now that we have meets.
(Un)Pancake Breakfast:
This Friday after each age group practice a breakfast will be provided for the swimmers. The swimmers will line up to pick up their food and may sit on the hill while eating and practicing social distancing. They may also pick up their food and leave if needed. All swimmers will need to leave the pool area prior to the next age group’s breakfast. Please remember to login to Swimtopia (click on Meet/Events and then select the RSVP button). In the comment area please state their breakfast sandwich choice. Please note that we need more volunteers to supply fruit and drinks and to serve the swimmers. The sign up for this is also on Swimtopia.
Saturday’s Intrasquad Meet...
Clerk of Course and Spectating:
There will be 3 Clerk of Course volunteers in the parking lot and 1 Head Clerk of Course to ensure the team is practicing social distancing. Remember masks are to be worn at all times. Warm-up Times will be sent out on Friday. Swimmers will line up under the tents in the parking lot based on their heat assignments. There will be 3 tents in the parking lot that will be designated for the next three heats that are upcoming. There will be one tent per heat. As swimmers are called for their heat the swimmers will move up to the next tent. For example, swimmers under tent 2 will move up to tent 1 and heat 4 will line up under tent 3 and so on. Parents will need to walk their swimmer on to the pool deck when their heat is called and will be required to collect all their personal items and mask. The parent may then move to the spectator area. All parents will have access to the digital meet sheet so they are aware of their swimmer’s event number, heat, and lane assignment. If a parent has more than 1 swimmer in that age group and the other parent is volunteering we will have a coach stand with the swimmer in the parking lot while they wait to be called to line up.When the swimmers have completed their race they will need to find their parent and move back to the parking lot so that the next age group may enter. After your swimmer has completed their events you may leave.
Volunteers
Thank you for volunteering. Please remember that masks are required during the meet. All volunteers need to arrive at 6:50 am for instruction from Mike Thomas and the Reps.

The meet results will be posted at the pool, accessible on Swimtopia and through Meet Mobile.
