Tuckahoe Swim Team Families,

Now that the summer swim season is underway, the coaches and team reps need to determine who will be in town for Black & Gold and all the Saturday meets through the end of July. They also need to know who is available for Divisionals, D1 Relay Carnival, All Star Relays and All Stars. Monday Night meet sign-ups will be sent out each week on Thursday evenings.

What is the Black & Gold Meet?

Black & Gold is a ‘Tuckahoe Only” time trial to get initial times for ALL swimmers. It is a great meet for new swimmers to get an idea of what a summer swim meet is all about. It also serves as a 'training session' for new parent timers and officials so that Saturday meets and Monday Night meets run smoothly.

All swimmers 9 & older are entered into all four events for the Black & Gold Meet. Swimmers 8 & Under will be entered into two events, the 25 Free and 25 Back. Team reps will consult with the coaches to determine which 8 & Under swimmers are eligible to swim 25 Breast & 25 Fly. IM is not an event at the Black & Gold Meet and will be offered on Monday Nights only.

Saturday Meet intentions are just to give our coaches and team reps an idea of who will be here and who will not. The coaches are only able to submit 3 athletes/event - the coaches will consider a range of information in addition to top times when creating the meet line up. With this in mind, it is helpful to know who is available for each meet.
