Good evening families; 

We are excited to announce the details of this year's grand finale, the famous Tuckahoe Ball!

First of all, we have a fabulous new venue this year. We have also made several changes to help create a wonderful evening for our swim families to celebrate our amazing season.

Please take a moment to read through the details. YOU MUST REGISTER BY JULY 14, even if you already submitted an RVSP earlier this season. There will be no registration or payments accepted at the door.

Date & Time:

Saturday, July 24 beginning promptly at 5:00 pm.

The Ball concludes for swimmers 12 & Under at 10:00 pm.

Swimmers 13 & Up may stay until 11:00 pm.

Venue:

7900 Westpark Drive, Mclean VA (Atrium Level)

There will be free parking in the garage to the left of the building. After you park here, you will enter the building by Bourbon Coffee. The Atrium is this level.

Our venue is a large and gorgeous atrium space, with two additional rooms.

Who can attend?:

The Ball is for swim team members, their parents, our coaches, and of course, for our Alumni. We strongly encourage you to leave other siblings at home who are not on the team, especially those under the age of 5. The Ball is supposed to be a special night focused on our team athletes. 

Registration and payment are required in advance for all attending.

Attire:

Please dress to impress. Remember this is a Ball - it is an opportunity to wear something a little more special than a bathing suit or that blue & white uniform! So many kids (and adults) have been looking forward to dressing up all season. And to inspire you a little more, we will once again be having a photo booth!

Itinerary:

5:00 pm - Ball begins

5:00 – 5:45 pm - Buffet Dinner from Chick-fil-A for swimmers

5:45 pm Awards Ceremony and Slideshow

After the Awards will be dessert, our DJ, dancing, and a photo booth.

10:00 pm - End of Ball for 12 & Under; 13 & Up may stay until 11:00 pm

Price:

Due to the new venue and all the additional perks and upgrades this year (DJ, Photobooth, Servers, etc.…), we will be charging $10 per person with a MAX of $50 for five or more family members.

This means everyone attending pays a fee, not just the swimmers.

Payment must be made during online registration no later than July 14. There will be no registration and no payments taken at the door.

18 & Under Swimmers: Food & Beverage & Desserts:

Dinner will be catered by Chick-Fil-A and will include chicken tenders, macaroni & cheese, salads, fruit, and biscuits.

Beverage Bar with water and sodas will be staffed and available all evening.

We will have delicious cupcakes for dessert after the slideshow. 

19 & Up (aka Parents, Coaches, Alumni): Food & Beverages & Drink Tickets:

The atrium will be the predominant space for our parents to enjoy. Here there will be abundant seating and tables for our fantastic adults-only potluck fanfare.

Parents, please bring something yummy to share: appetizers, snacks, desserts - whatever you are famous for! We will provide utensils, napkins, and plates for you to enjoy the incredible assortment of goodies brought by your fellow members.

Due to the facilities' rules, you may not bring your own alcohol (NO BYOB). However, we will have two bartenders set up in the atrium all evening. The bar will be well-stocked with a great selection of beers, wine, and hard seltzers and served in glassware (no plastic for this proper celebration).

NOTE: Bartenders will only accept drink tickets. 1 Ticket = 1 Beer, Wine, or Hard Seltzer. Sodas and waters will be available at no cost.

Drink tickets will be available for sale next to the check-in desk (payment by credit card is preferred):

• $6 IPA and wine

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

Because our swim team is so large, venues such as this are very hard to come by. However, we are very fortunate to host the Tuckahoe Ball at this new venue, and we do not want to lose the privilege of using it. Therefore, we ask parents to please speak to their children about their expected conduct at the Ball. We look forward to your help in creating a pleasant and respectful atmosphere.
