Winter Swim 

Session I - September 12 - January 16 

  • Sun: 4pm (Level I+II) + 5pm (Level III) + 6pm (11+ Sprint) 
  • Tues: 6pm (Level I) + 7pm (Level II) 
  • Thurs: 6pm (Level III) + 7pm (11+ Sprint) 
  • Limit: 36/class 
  • Prices 1 Night: $250 
  • Add 2nd Night: $220

  • Level I: 8/31 

Session II - January 23 - May 8

Use for Registration Purposes**

Level I (Intermediate - Little Tigers): Ages 5-8

  • Athletes who have completed group lessons and are already on Little Tigers or hoping to join next summer
  • Requirement: Able to swim ~10 yards unassisted
  • Goal: Ability to swim freestyle/backstroke across the pool without stopping
  • Focus: Introduce propulsion with arms and legs for Freestyle and Backstroke
  • Improve body position, floating, treading, as well as submergence/re-emergence abilities (jumping/diving)
  • Introduce proper training etiquette and use of equipment (training suits/caps/goggles/kickboard/pull buoy/etc)

Level II (Advanced - Swim Team 8-Unders): Ages 5-8

  • Athletes who swam in Winter Swim, or plan to be Swim Team 8-Unders on 6/1/2022
  • Requirement: Ability to swim freestyle and backstroke across the pool and back unassisted, without stopping
  • Goal: Ability to swim 25 yards of Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly
  • Focus: Refine rotational stroke mechanics for long-axis strokes (free/back)
  • Introduce and improve race strategy including racing starts, underwater kicking, and finishes
  • Introduce short axis stroke mechanics (Breaststroke/Butterfly)
  • Solidify training etiquette including use of pace clock and equipment
  • Build strength and endurance

Level III (Advanced - Swim Team 9-10s): Ages 9-10

  • Athletes who are already on the Swim Team or plan to be 9-10s on 6/1/2022
  • Goal: Proficiently swim all four competitive strokes legally
  • Focus: Introduce and improve advanced technical components for each stroke
  • Improve breathe control, underwater kick, and race details (starts, turns, finishes)
  • Build strength and endurance

    11+ Sprint Workout

  • Athletes who will be 11 -18 years old on 6/1/2022
  • Returning or interested Swim Team members improving their cardio and aerobic base through workouts targeted towards summer swimming (sprinting)
  • Improve stroke mechanics and race details
