Tuckahoe Swim Team Info and Reminders
Tuckahoe Families:
We wanted to bring some upcoming events and deadlines to your attention, and have included a few important reminders about the season as well.
Open House
April 24th, 12-3pm. Meet your coaches and collect your Tuckahoe gear. Swimsuits, caps, fins, snorkels, googles, mesh bags and more will be available for purchase. There is a New Team Member Welcome at 1:00pm. There will also be a Jolyn pop-up shop! Click here to find out more about your coaches this season.
Swim Team Registration closes May 27th or when max capacity is met. Register hereif you have not yet done so. There is currently a waitlist for Little Tigers (LT).
Swim Practice
Monday, May 9th is the first day of team practice. Tuesday, May 17th is the first day of Little Tiger practice. Click hereto find the full practice schedule. (Note: the pool is heated)
Equipment - Proper swimsuit (no trunks, shorts, bikinis, sleeved shirts, wet suits etc.), googles, fins, snorkels, mesh bags, towel (if needed) should be brought to every practice. Caps are required to be worn for long hair (hair that goes past the eyes). For the first few weeks you will need to bring tennis shoes and clothing for dryland exercises. Please label all of your equipment.
Deck Policy - Parents must stay off the pool deck. It is a distraction to coaches and swimmers to have parents next to the pool or trying to talk to coaches or their child. The coaches will help kids with goggles, caps, equipment etc.
Inclement Weather Policy - We swim in the rain but not thunder/lightening. We will send out an email if practice is canceled due to weather. It will also be posted on social media.
Big Cats - Adults can join our parent swim. Click here for more info and to register as a Big Cat.
Volunteers
It can’t be done without YOU! Please sign up to volunteer. Summer swim is so much more fun for everyone when you help out. We still have a lot of positions to fill. Your Summer Plans - Please fill out the meet availability form by May 27th here. Your response to this form will help us plan for swim meets. The first two weeks of July are of particular importance since those are our Divisional and All Star Relay weeks!
