Hello Tuckahoe Tiger Parents! I don't know about you, but I can't believe we're only 58 days away from 2025! Blink once and you'll miss Winter Swim. Blink twice and Summer Swim Practice will have started!

Winter Swim Announcement

Winter Swim Registration Opened This Sunday, 11/3

New Level 0 Offering

We're excited to announce that our Tuckahoe winter group lessons program will now be part of Level 0 in Winter Swim! This program will cover the same foundational skills for beginners while offering a more comprehensive structure tailored to our youngest and less experienced swimmers. Level 0 provides more growth opportunities and ensures coaching continuity, with familiar faces working consistently with the kids each week. Level 0 athletes will be able to sign up for 1 or 2 days of practice for the duration of the session.

Schedule:

Level 0 and Level 1 (Winter Swim equivalent of Little Tigers) will run simultaneously, with 30-minute sessions offered on:

• Sundays at 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm,

• Tuesdays at 6:30 pm.

By establishing Level 0, we aim to streamline the transition to Level 1/Little Tigers, particularly for athletes interested in joining the LT/Swim Team this summer!

• Level I: Little Tigers (swimmers not able to swim 2 laps of proficient free with side breathing)
  
• Level II: All swimmers who will be 8 or younger on 6/1/2025 (and proficient in free)
  
• Level III: All swimmers who will be 9 or 10y/o on 6/1/2025
  
• 11+ Sprint: All swimmers who will be 11 or older on 6/1/2025
  

Winter Swim is a fantastic opportunity to get your athletes ready for Tuckahoe 2025; don't wait to register them!

Tuckahoe Coaching Application Window is Open

All interested swim team coaches can apply for the 2025 season. The job descriptions are attached to this email. Any interested coaches or volunteer coaches may apply using this link.*

*to be hired you must have at least 1 summer of volunteer coaching experience.

The application window is open now and will close on 1/20/2025. We plan to interview and hire all positions by 3/1/2025. Please direct all questions to Coach Torey by email [email protected].

Annual Holiday Tucka-Bowling Outing

We will be hosting the annual holiday Tuckahoe Swim Team bowling event onMonday, December 23rd from 2-3 PM at Bowl America Falls Church. The address is 140 S. Maple Ave., Falls Church VA. Parents please sign up your child(ren) at the link below so that we have an accurate count for lanes and food. The cost per Tuckahoe bowler is $18 which will include shoe rental, unlimited fountain drinks, pizza, and a $10 arcade card! We hope to see as many of our returning swimmers as possible over the holidays!!

Congratulations to our new Team Record Holders and Team Champions

We had an informal opportunity in October to bring the new Team Record Holders and Team Champions to inscribe their names on our Record Board. The athletes added their times and posed for pictures shared on the Team's Social Media account. Remember to congratulate these Tigers next time you see them!
