What a week! Our 🐯🏊🏽 finished 2nd in a hard-fought and exciting Division 1 relay carnival last night. Congrats to all of our swimmers; we're proud of each and every one of them. And a special shout out to our 11-12 boys freestyle relay for setting a new TRC club record 🥇!

As always, we have a LOT of information included in this email. Please read all the way to the bottom so you don't miss important announcements 📢.

Highlands @ Tuckahoe Saturday Meet (July 11th)

On Saturday, we welcome the Whomping Turtles 🐢of Highlands to Tuckahoe for our 4th dual meet of the summer. We're looking forward to another fast and fun meet!

Reminder: as we've done all season, we are reserving the first row of the parking lot for Highlands. Please park in the second/third rows of the parking lot. We've received some very positive feedback from other teams on this adjustment this year; let's continue it for our last home dual meet.

Meet theme: Club Tuckahoe! 🌴. Think neon colors, glitter, fun hair, and all the tropical rave vibes!!

This is a very special meet for Tuckahoe because it is our seniors' last home meet. We have a special ceremony planned to honor our 11 graduating seniors and need everyone's participation to make this meet memorable for those who have given so much to Tuckahoe. Due to the number of seniors, we will be conducting our senior recognition ceremony after the conclusion of the meet. We ask that everyone stay until the very end of the meet so we can give our seniors a Tuckahoe-sized send-off!  

Immediately after senior recognition, we will hold our annual parent relays! Back by popular demand, this is our swim team parents time to shine! Any interested parent should join a team by Friday evening before the potluck using the sign-up below. Relays are 100M medley; Little Tigers parents are also welcomed and encouraged to sign up! The rules are simple: 1) one swimmer cannot swim more than one leg of the medley relay; 2) the team must have at least one female member; 3) the team must have a name. Best team name might get a prize at the Tuckahoe ball 🪩.

Please reserve and prepay for your lunch with the Sign Up Genius. The deadline to order is Friday 7/10/26 at noon.

Each lunch is $15.00 and includes a Jersey Mike's Sub, chips, and fruit.

Indicate the number of lunches and use the link to prepay. The food will be served on the lower Grill patio - please check in with our volunteers before picking up your prepaid lunch. Food will only be served when the pool deck is cleaned up.

Fun Friday (@ 10am) and Potluck (@ 6pm), Friday July 10th

Remember that tomorrow is our 3rd Fun Friday of the summer led by our amazing volunteers. Fun Fridays are exactly what the name says! A fun opportunity for all 10 & Unders and Little Tigers to gather and enjoy games, crafts, prizes, & more! Come wrangle a dangling donut, hunt for treasure, create art, and make lasting memories! 

• Who: All 10 & Unders and Little Tigers
• When: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
• Where: On the Hill after Team Cheers

Weather is looking good (so far) for our usual Friday Potluck + Friday Night Meats event (though, compared to last week, any weather would be better than the 🔥🥵♨️).

Bring your dish to the Pavilion. Swimmers eat first, with our youngest Tigers getting first priority. Team Reps invite parents to help with the meet setup, then join them on the hill for some adult conversation. BYO food, snacks, and beverages (remember, no glass containers).

Please bring enough food to serve 8-10 people. Use plastic/metal containers and avoid using breakable dishware like glass or ceramic. Remember to bring home your containers and utensils. By 8:00 pm at the latest, all swimmers should go home to get a good night’s rest!

Potluck Food Assignments [by Last Name]:

A–F: Main Dish (Pasta, BBQ, meatballs, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, etc.)

G–L: Side Dish (Mac-n-cheese, corn on the cob, beans, rice, etc.)

M–R: Salad (Green salad, Caesar salad, pasta salad, etc.)

S–Z: Fruit (Watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, grapes, berries, etc.)

Tuckahoe Ball (July 25th, 5:30 - 10pm)

We are so excited to announce that registration for the annual Tuckahoe Swim Team Ball is open! Our theme this year is Christmas in July because the Ball is happening on the 25th of July...but we encourage all of our swim team members, parents, and alumni to come in their winter holiday finest (think: Christmas 🎄, Hannukah 🕎, Kwanza 🕯️, gold, sparkles, white/snow, etc....just remember that adults will be outside most of the night so maybe reconsider the heavy ugly sweater 🤭). 

Who: Swim team members, their parents, our coaches, and of course, our alumni. This includes Little Tigers and we'd love to see you all there! Note: Due to the size of our team, siblings who are not members of the team (yet!) may not attend.

Where: Knights of Columbus Arlington 5115 Little Falls Rd, Arlington, VA 22207

When: July 25th from 5:30pm to 10pm

What: The annual celebration of our swim season! The event starts with music, games, prizes, and a photobooth. There will be coaches awards, a slideshow, and a DJ-led dance party to close out the night.
