Good rainy afternoon Tigers,

Our amazing swimmers gave it their all today against Chesterbrook. Unfortunately, our Tigers fell to the Tiger Sharks 177 to 243. There were some absolutely amazing swims and very tight races; we are VERY proud of each and every swimmer. WHAT. A. SEASON. 🐯🥳

Growing up, Michael Jordan was my favorite athlete and his quote: "I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games... And that is why I succeed" has always stuck with me. Yes, we lost this dual meet...and we haven't lost a dual meet in a few years...and losing is hard...but adversity is good. We will come back better and stronger next year. 🐯💛🖤💪✨🌟 

And with that, the dual meet-portion of our season is over but our season is not yet over! This week, we have our final Monday night meet, rescheduled FUN MONDAY, and our FINAL FULL TEAM PRACTICE on Tuesday. Then we prep for individual Divisionals (a swim meet for those with qualifying times only) and tomorrow's email will explain the process/timeline.

For planning purposes, remember that practices will be slightly modified this week:

Monday: 

10&U: 8-9AM with FUN MONDAY "Waves of Gratitude" to follow from 9-10am!

11andUp: 9-10AM 

Tuesday (FINAL FULL TEAM PRACTICE):

10&U: 8-9AM

11andUp: 9-10AM

Wednesday-Friday:

Tuckahoe Ball--LAST CALL 🪩

When we say you don't want to miss this event, we mean it. Our Little Tigers will get medals, we'll hand out coaches/team awards to swim team members, crown our club champions, mingle with other parents, and dance the night away with a DJ. It is the most anticipated event of the year. Registration is extended through 5pm on Monday, July 20th but that's the absolute latest we can go. Remember, no walk-up registrations will be possible.

Its Here...Our FINAL Monday Night Meet of the Season

By now, you're all familiar with the process but sign-up is now open for our last Monday night meet of the 2026 season. Swimmers can swim any TWO strokes even if they swam it today at Chesterbrook. We are also offering IM as a "bonus third event" but ONLY if your swimmer is legal in ALL FOUR strokes! 

Coach Calla will be in touch with any Little Tiger family directly on eligibility of their swimmer for Monday's meet (remember: she will write cards).

Order for Monday's meet is: IM + normal order (free, back, breast, fly).

PLEASE REGISTER: Last week we had an unusually high number of families send their kids to swim in the Monday meet without registering. That causes delays and puts a big burden on our coaches and volunteers. Help everyone out by *registering for the Monday meet on Swimtopia* prior to the Sunday 3pm deadline!

Finally, one more thank you to the whole Tuckahoe swim community for being a part of a GREAT SEASON! While we did not achieve the ultimate goal of a D1 title, we achieved so much: a 4-1 record, numerous personal bests, and more importantly we saw tremendous progress amongst all our swimmers. We enjoyed all the practices, potlucks, Saturday/Monday meets, and all of the great camraderie. We couldn't have done this without dedication from the swimmers and all of our parent volunteers! Thank you all!!!
